What Hope Believes

What’s a Lutheran?  Lutheran Christians emerged in the reformation movement and believe people of God are saved by grace through Jesus Christ and not through works.  Lutheran Christians like so many Christians discover we can…heart logo

  • grow daily in Christ
  • welcome all people
  • learn God’s endless grace for ourselves and others
  • enter new life in the mission of the Gospel!

Come be part of the movement of real love and deep joy in our Savior, Jesus!

We are also part of the wider church: Regardless of age, race, or status in life, members of the ELCA Evangelical Lutheran Church in America welcome you to join this community of faith. If you’re unfamiliar with our church, some of what you learn may surprise you.

Synod means "walking together.”  The Southern Ohio Synod is our geographical region of Lutheran Churches.  The Southern Ohio Synod, http://www.southernohiosynod.org/  is one of the most diverse synods in the country. It extends God's mission to metropolitan areas and small town and rural settings from north of Columbus, south to the Ohio River.  The synod has 232 congregations and over 400 rostered leaders.  The synod Bishop is Suzanne Dillahunt and our national Bishop is Elizabeth Eaton.
